Vaudoise Assurances insures your car, your home, your life. In Switzerland, especially in our sector of finance, trust is a main subject. The ambition is not absolutely to be the number one insurance business in Switzerland, but to be nearer to our target customers. We were in crisis a few years ago with our devices. Laptops were too slow to start and our employees preferred paper before. When I arrived in 2015, the company asked me to design this new work place, to offer a new device for the end users. Our employees evaluated ten devices and the reason why they decided to go with the Surface Pro was the first class touch capabilities, the light weight, the pen capabilities, and the sexiest design. The device was shiny. The screen was amazing. For me, a device must be mobile. It must allow our employees to concentrate on real value added in their business. I think it’s very important that our IT system helps us to accelerate the renovations the transformation of our processes. The Surface triggered a huge change in sales for the representatives in the field, and has allowed us to be more agile and mobile. We are able to respond much better to the needs of our clients, and sign directly on the tablet. It’s an amazing tool. The moment I begin to connect on this new tablet, everything goes very, very fast. I have access to all my files extremely quickly. Offering a new tablet to all of our employees makes us an attractive employer. From an IT perspective, the cloud is very important to me. I don’t need to manage my system on-prem and with the cloud capabilities, Microsoft will do this for me. I use the Surface everyday, of course. In the morning, I can work on the train for an hour. Then, when I get to my office, I can dock it and have two screens. And then later, I take my Surface under my arm everywhere I go. The ease of use is extraordinary, and it particularly allows our sales network to be very autonomous. Thanks to all these new Microsoft tools, La Vaudoise Assurances is ready to embrace the future.
